Our Story

Boma Jewelry was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1981 by Boon and Chieko Chaya. Today, it remains a family-owned business focused on high-quality, sustainably-made jewelry. Over the last four decades, Boma Jewelry has evolved from being the jewelry maker for some of America's largest brands to being a leader focused on sustainable jewelry. Today we continue to utilize our experience to innovate and evolve, while ensuring our long-term commitment to ethical and environmental stewardship.

Hello from Suzanne,

Thank you for stopping by and getting to know more about us. I'm honored to lead Boma Jewelry today and continue our tradition of making lasting pieces of jewelry that will enjoyed and cherished for a lifetime.

XO, Suzanne Vetillart

Our purpose is to leave people and places better than we found them.

Our vision is to be the jewelry brand that people trust.

We promise to make self-expression accessible to all.

Our Heritage

From our start in 1981 to today, we've been a jewelry company focused on high-quality, handmade pieces of jewelry made to last a lifetime.

Boma was founded by Boon and Chieko in Seattle, WA. Our first office was located in the historic Pioneer Building on 1st Avenue. Our second office was located on 2nd Avenue in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, to which our "Belle Collection" essential designs are named after.

In the early years, our journey to success was defined by our focus on high-quality sterling silver. As we built our own design and manufacturing team, our control on the sourcing, development, and creation of our jewelry has shaped us into the industry leader we are today.
