Dear Friends,
Today marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. This year as the world faces the Covid-19 pandemic it has created an incredible amount of reflection and pause for us all. During this pandemic, the communities and networks that we've been connected to through countless Zoom webinars and calls have helped us feel connected while we all stay at home.
Even from our couch, we still want to celebrate this day with action. This year we've highlighted 3 greenwash-proof ways of what we're doing everyday to work towards our sustainability vision. We've worked hard to avoid greenwashing as we are a company with a long heritage that has deeper roots, namely owning our factory and therefore capable of taking immediate, relevant action.
With this responsibility we also need to acknowledge the areas where we need to do more and can improve. In the next year one of our biggest projects will be to achieve scope 1 emissions by switching our factory to 100% renewable energy through solar.
This Earth Day I hope you find ways to stay connected with people and planet.
